This nostalgic watercolor was created to convey a simpler moment in time. The Balboa Pavilion in Newport Beach, California, was constructed in 1905. At the time it was one of the original structures in a largely undeveloped Balboa Peninsula. Illustrating this classic scene brought back many memories for me. My wife and I lived on Balboa Blvd. in the late 60’s. The original has been sold.
